What Causes Excessive Salivation Along With Breathing Difficulty?

I get up in mid night to wash my mouth as its full of bad saliva from about 8 to 9 years. Then I started feeling diffucult breathing and anxiety at mid night and early in the morning. I wake up sneezing. Itchy eyes, runny nose and dry skin. When ever I sleep i get cough and diffucult breathing and wake up with the same condition either its cough or runny nose and all that as I mentioned above. Am quiet normal throughout the day but if I laugh out loud or eat some spicy food I get cough and difficult breathing. In worst case snerio breathing difficulty and anxiety invovles wheezing too. Currently am taking avil and betnelan tablets but my condition is becoming worst. Can you please diagnose exact problem Is it stomach acidity??? Asthma??? Thyroid issue??? Or allergy???

Hi,

You are suffering from separate entities one is mouth drooling with saliva and breathing difficulty with anxiety and running nose, itching in eyes.

So for mouth drooling or salivation is concerned it is due to acid reflux disease and stomach disorder which you have mentioned. Anxiety in itself can cause stomach problem and drools.

So for chest issue is concerned it is due to infection and allergic reaction, however, stomach acidity can also exacerbate it. Therefore the treatment strategy is to be to treat stomach acidity first and chest disorder.

You may need Lansoprazole and Cetirizine, Chlorpheniramine. It will stop both issues of drooling and chest disorder.

There is nothing to worry. You can also visit the emergency room for proper evaluation.
