What Causes Excessive Sleeping And A Strong Sense Of Smell After A Seizure?
greetings my wife had a seizure a week ago she never had one before and shes a healthy woman . shes 43. she has been sleeping longer than usual and says she feels like scrambled eggs. I am just trying to figure what could be wrong? she went to the emergency room when it happened and all the test came back normal but I am worried. I am hoping that you will be able to give a few possible potential nonbinding diagnosis please. my wife keeps saying how shes sensitive to smells and tastes, she was fine before the seizure never had any issues with smells or tastes.

Seizure is a condition which occurs due to sudden fire of neurons simultaneously for which evaluation should be done to rule out the medical causes ,in 80-90% no abnormality found and post seizure person can have more sleepiness that is post Ictal stage and should not worry about it.
