What Causes Excessive Sneezing With Itching In The Throat And Runny Nose?

I need help. This is happening for a while now. I know it can be few things, one I eat late due to work, sometimes caffeinated drinks before bed, two I am a smoker. So, lately I've been noticing how every time I sneeze it's not like a call simple sneeze, my sneeze comes with lots of tear-y eyes and itching/burning throat and with lots of runny nose!! I have to blow my nose constantly to make sure it's all out!! I know I have allergies but this is becoming a bit too much for me now. It's starting to get in the way of things, and sometimes I don't want to eat or drink anything at all.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of excessive sneezing with itching in the throat and runny nose which is due to respiratory tract infection and it could be due to allergic manifestations.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid use of spicy, sharp oily and fried food substances. You should take throat lozenges and take combination of antibiotic Levofloxacin along with antihistamine such as Levocetirizine. You should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for blood tests and allergen tests done to detect level of infection and treatment can be started accordingly.
