What Causes Excessive Sweating After Taking Zyrtec And Flonase?

My daughter was at a minor emergency clinic today with sore throat, achy, congestion, sneezing. They diagnosed her with a viral infection and possibly not fully recovered from sinus infection she had 2 weeks ago.He put her on an oral steroid and penicillin. Told her to take zyrtec and flonaze as well. She is not running fever but has been sweating and feels clammy. Wondered if that was a side effect of the drugs or what could be going on

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The excess sweating after flonase (fluticasone) indicates sympathetic nervous system stimulation after drug intake. Drink plenty of liquids to avoid hypotension development and report the issue to your doc office without taking another doses of Flonase. You can continue zyrtec surely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
