What Causes Excessive Sweating And Flushed Skin After Playing In The Snow?

My grandson was outside today playing in the snow. He came in with a sweaty head and flushed skin. Later that evening, he said he was cold. Took his temp and it was 97.5 around 8 pm. Later at 11:30 pm he came downstairs and complained of being cold. Took his temp again and it was 95.3. What can cause this and do I have to be worried.
