What Causes Excessive Sweating And Mild Constipation While On BP Medications?

yes, was just checking on some symptoms that occurred today, better now. I do take high blood pressure medication, Plavix, potassium, and some cholesterol meds ... had not had my metoprolol tart nor the pota chloride for past two days (had taken only have tablet until refill, and today, went to get the prescription and seemed had to go to bathroom, a bit constipated, got really HOT, EXCESSIVE SWEATING, and did could not go, then, lay down for just a bit, drank some water, got a wet towel, then was able to go to the bathroom, and then began to feel better.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have excessive sweating and mild constipation while on BP medications . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like constipation irritable bowel syndrome , anxiety disorder , dehydration and medication reaction or side-effect of blood pressure medicine as your also mention in query . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist to rule out gastric problem . Doctor may prescribe laxative along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to endocrinologist for hormonal therapy , because hormonal imbalance can also cause such symptoms or to cardiologist , who may alter the dose or prescribe substitutes in case of side effect .
