Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been for the last couple of months beensuffering from severe sweating, face, neck, stomach, back and legs, to the extreme I have to dry myself. Then I get cold sweats after where I am clammy all over but feel very cold. This is happening anytime day or night.
As per your query you have symptoms of excessive sweating in face and neck which is mainly due to withdrawal effect of tobacco and weed. Weed and tobacco due to presence of nicotine in them makes physical and psychological dependence on it and once you tries to quit it causes stimulation of sensory nervous system of your body which leads to secretions from all glands excessively. Thre can be other reasons also like hormonal changes , nervous problem or thyroid disease , its normal. Your symptoms will resolve with in 10-15 days once your metabolism will resume back to normal. Take diet rich in fruits , vegetables and drink plenty of water to prevent body from dehydration. I would suggest you to consult endocrinologist for thyroid or hormonal imbalance . Doctor may also refer ou to neurologist .Take lemon juice as well along with salt and sugar added in it.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
