What Causes Excessive Sweating In Palms And Feet While Having High BP And Cholesterol?

Hi,My husband is suffering from high blood pressure,triglycerides and high cholesterol. He is under continues medication but sometimes he is having some strange symptoms in his body. His palm and feet becomes blood red, excessive sweating in the palms & feet,breathing problem etc...please suggest which specialist Dr. should I consult or what to do for this problem...what are the reasons for these symptoms??

Hello,

* The excess sweating in palms and feet can be related to dysfunction of autonomic system with release of catecholamines or other mediators.

Underlying stress and anxiety do play a very major role in this issue.

* Certain times, there is requirement of dose adjustment of the medicines of blood pressure and cholesterol control as well.

My guidelines at present for him

- continue current medications
- deep breathing exercises and YOGA
- walking in fresh air
- balanced nutritious diet
- avoid stress and anxiety
- have an uninterrupted sound sleep of 7 hours
- avoid caffeine, alcohol, tobacco if consuming.
