What Causes Excessive Sweating In The Elderly?

I am a 65 year old woman who went through menopause 10 years ago. In the past few months I have been sweating on and off during the day and the night. It does not correlate with temperature indoors or outdoors. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks

hello ...
thanks for trusting the health care magic doctors for your health related issues.

excessive sweating in menopausal women is called hot flushes which is most common postmenopausal symptom.

it is due to deficiency of estrogen hormone in menopausal women, which causes excessive sweating, urinary infection, dry vagina etc.

in my advice visit nearby gynecologist. he/she can help you.
