What Causes Excessive Sweating, Nausea And Lightheadedness?

Broke out in a cold sweat, nausea, lightheaded. Had to change my clothes because I was sweating so badly. Then had to go to the bathroom. I was pale and felt awful for about 10 minutes. Feel fine now just yawning and drained. I am a male in middle 60 s, good health. Just seen my pcp last month. I have been on cholesterol medication for two years. What may have caused those symptoms

Hi,

These can be the symptoms of MASTOCYTOSIS. It is the increase in number of mast cells in blood or at certain places. Degranulation of the cells can result in the symptoms which you are having like hot flashes. Complete physical and laboratory investigation is required to reach over the diagnosis. Differential diagnosis includes PHEOCHROMOCYTOMA, CHOLINERGIC URTICARIA.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Atishay Bukharia
