Hi,

Excessive sweating of the head, neck, and face is a medical condition called craniofacial hyperhidrosis. It is caused by overactive sweat glands and can occur even when a person is not engaged in physical activity or exposed to hot temperatures. The exact cause of craniofacial hyperhidrosis is not known, but it is believed to be related to an overactive sympathetic nervous system.

There are several treatment options available for craniofacial hyperhidrosis, including antiperspirants, prescription medications, and procedures such as iontophoresis or botulinum toxin injections. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific case.

In addition to medical treatment, some lifestyle modifications may help manage excessive sweating. These include avoiding triggers such as spicy foods or alcohol, wearing breathable clothing, and practicing stress-reduction techniques such as meditation or deep breathing exercises.

It is also worth noting that excessive sweating can sometimes be a symptom of an underlying medical condition such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or an autoimmune disorder. If you have not already done so, it may be worthwhile to discuss your symptoms with a healthcare professional to rule out any underlying conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
