Hello,

When fever subsides, it's common to sweat a lot. As it's only an isolated episode of night sweat, you don't need to worry. Few medications cause night sweats like anti-depressants, hormonal therapy, and oral hypoglycemic agents used in diabetes, alcohol use, autonomic neuropathy, anxiety disorders, carcinoid tumors, Hodgkin's lymphoma, thyroidism ad menopause.

You don't need to be panicked by seeing the list. Your night sweat is most probably due to fever and infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
