What Causes Excessive Sweating While On Morphine For Backache?

I ve been prescribed morphine er for back pain and have taken it for over 10 years. The last 7+ years I have been experiencing severe sweating incidents at first I linked it to hot flashes but I still sweat really bad and can t wear sweaters or heavy jackets in the winter. This also interrupts my sleep during the night. I ve also been losing quite a bit of hair and this all may be due to taking the morphine. Can you suggest another type of pain reliever I could take without these side effects?
