What Causes Excessive Sweating?

I am 65, I sweat all the time, my sweat burns me, I sit around the house naked because of this. I went to my gynecologist when my belly skin dropped. I had a hysterectomy this spring, they found 9 cysts on 1 ovary. My sweat burns me a lot. Sometimes I take 3 showers a day just letting the water run over me. Prior to this, I kept telling my family doctor I lost my pubic and armpit hair and she would just smile. I have lost the elasticity in my skin. I hope you can help me. Rosemary Crouse Mohn

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Excessive sweating(hyperhidrosis) could be primary if no underlying cause identified and is mostly hereditary or secondary if caused by a medical condition.Possible causes of secondary hyperhidrosis may include: Diabetes, fever of unknown cause, hyperthyoidism, menopause, obesity, stress, TB just to name a few.
Pubic and axillary hair loss may be caused by hormonal disorders like Addison's disease that affects the adrenal glands, inhibiting the production of the hormones cortisol and aldosterone, aging and some medications.
Investigating you for some of the above possible causes of your disorder may be helpful.I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation.Test like a full blood count, ESR, hormonal work especially for thyroid and adrenal hormone, abdominal scan will be very helpful.
Hope this will help
Best regards
