What Causes Excessive Sweating?

I have experienced significant sweating where I wipe water from my forehead with just cleaning the kitchen or sweeping the floors (minimal exercise) and I am in 71 degree house. I am 62 and the sweating has been building up over a period of time until all most constant now. What could be causing this? I have spots on my lungs but they think they are nothing to worry about.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Sweating is a normal reaction when your body's working harder and needs to cool itself down. Overweight is one of the causes of excessive sweating. Have you checked your thyroid??
Advice
1.     Investigation – blood sugar (F & PP), serum T4 and TSH
2.     Measure your blood pressure regularly
3.     Avoid stress as it aggravates sweating
4.     If you are overweight then lose some weights
5.     Avoid hot environment and strenuous activity
6.     Wear loose cotton undergarment
7.     Drink 4 – 5 liters of water daily
8.     Use dusting powder containing ketoconazole or fluconazole
9.     Take bath two times daily and use branded soap for bathing
10.     Avoid smoking, tea and coffee as these aggravates sweating

I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
