What Causes Excessive Sweating?

I have problems with excessive sweating - hyperhidrosis. However, many sites talk about deodorants ... my problem is much greater than that because I sweat EVERYWHERE, not just armpits. In fact, there s not really a problem with that. I am a 55yr old female, so I m sure part of this is hormonal, b ut I take different things for depression and pain, also. The worst thing is being in public and sweat starts running down my face, my hair gets wet, and sweat runs down my back.

Hello,

Hyperhidrosis may be due to a variety of causes including drugs, diabetes mellitus etc. For symptomatic relief, you could use dusting powders and antiperspirant sprays. As your hyperhidrosis is extensive, I would highly recommend you to consult your Dermatologist for considering treatment options.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
