What Causes Excessive Vaginal Bleeding After First Sexual Intercourse?
So I lost my virginity last night and ik TMI he had a big genital area and it hurt bad and we didn t use protection and he did ejaculate. Idk where he said on the bed but I dont believe that because he looked inside me and was like omg no and when I woke up this morning I was still bleeding and all day at school it hurt to sit down and I m still bleeding. What is going on? Could I get pregnant/could I be?
Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:
1) Mild to moderate bleeding during or after intercourse may be due to hymen rupture, rough sex, blunt trauma, vaginal infection or dryness (lack of lubrication), endometriosis, cervical polyp etc. Most of time, this type of bleeding stops automatically within 3-5 days.
2) Use proper lubrication during sex and maintain genital hygiene. Medicine like Tranexamic acid can be taken for 3 days to arrest bleeding temporarily.
3) Lastly, I suggest you to consult with gynecologist if bleeding continues more than 1 week. One ultrasound scan is advisable to detect uterine or cervical pathology (if any). Maintain genital hygiene. Good luck.
