What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge After Taking Postinor 2?
Hi.. Please i had sex on saturday midnight and the condom broke, i took the postpill saturday morning around 10 and took one tablet of postinor2 this morning around 9,i m planning to take the last tablet 12 hours after the first postinor2.. The issue is i think i was ovulating then or 1 day to ovulation, i saw discharge today.. Do you think i ll get pregnant.. Thanks
If postinor 2 (2 tablets 12 hours apart)is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex ,chances of pregnancy is less. The earlier you take ,the more protection against pregnancy. Excessive vaginal discharge is not due to ovulation. The contraceptive taken may alter the consistency of vaginal secretions making it apparently excessive discharge. However,If you get thick white discharge or pain or burning sensation during urination or sex or vaginal itching,it indicates pelvic inflammatory disease. In that case, you will need to visit gynaecologist for examination and vaginal swab microscopy. Oral antifungals or antibiotics may be needed to cover up infection. Both partners need to be treated.
Hope this information helps. Thanks.
