What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge?

Lately I ve been having a lot of dicharge in my underwear thicker than usual but wirg no smell so I didn t think much of it until today when I noticed a large amount of excess flesh in my vagina area and I ve realised it s one of my labias and one is really big. I m not sure what the issue is and I m reading online and getting scared of what it might be caused by. Also there is no pain where the labia is extra large

If the labia is enlarged but there's no pain whatsoever, then this may be caused by swelling from edema (plasma leaking into the soft tissue). You can apply a warm compress on the area every couple of hours for 10 minutes at a time to see if this helps to reduce the swelling.

This may also be the beginning of a Bartholin abscess, and the pain can start a day or so after the swelling is noticed. In this case, you would need to consult with your doctor.

This pathology will have to be treated with antibiotics if it's still small, but if it gets very big then your doctor will have to drain the abscess. Sometimes this can be done with a local anesthetic, but some patients may need to receive general anesthesia for the procedure.
