Hi,

Weight gain is common after mastectomy because of corticosteroids, these medications have a tendency to increase the fatty tissue and also cause an increase in the appetite. Mastectomy causes a trigger in menopause, causing a gain in belly fat, lose muscles in the arms and fullness in the neck and face. Lack of regular exercises and change in the hormones in the body system may also be a cause of weight gain.

Drink plenty of water, do regular exercises, take a healthy homemade food and avoid stress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
