What Causes Excessive Weight Gain And Abdominal Swelling?
Hi -I am a 58 year old woman that has gained approx.30 lbs in the last 6-8 months but have not changed eating habits. also have excessive (I Think) sweating and feel ike my abdomen is swollen. Have had abdominal and pelvive ultrasounds which did not reveal anything. Taking generic celexa, blood pressure med and Tylenol or aleve for arthritis, omeprazole for GERD. Family doctor doesn t seem to feel anything wrong but the weight gain bothers me as it keeps going up..any thoughts?

Consult a physician and get evaluated.
We have to evaluate for possible causes like thyroid disorders and PCOS. You have to get an ultrasound scan and thyroid function test done.
