What Causes Excessive Weight Gain, Swelling Of Ankles And Chest Irritation?

i have noticed a few physical signs that led me to the internet to research and now i'm concerned. I am a 49 yr. old female with the following symptoms that started about a year ago. Excessive weight gain, swelling of ankles, calves and knees that comes and goes. I wake up at night to urinate 3 to 4 times. I see a gastro doctor and am currently taking nexium. For the past 4 days i've had indigestion really bad. 2 days ago I started coughing with a feeling of irritation in my chest like the onset of bronchitis but it hasn't gotten any worse than just the tickle irritated feeling. this morning after brushing my teeth I spit a pinkish colored phelm. I thought maybe I had brushed my teeth to hard.
