What Causes Excessive Weight Gain While On Gabapentin?

I have been taking 300mg twice a day of gabapentin for over a week. I believe it is this medicine that has caused me to be sleepy during the day and I ve gained weight. Is this possible? It really hasn t helped with the nerve pain, should I continue taking it?

Good day and thank you for posting this question. Gabapentin could make you eat more and gain weight. If you don't like the fact that you are adding weifht, I suggest you talk to your and stop using it. Your doctor will give you an alternative.
