Hello,

Having sex or masturbating would not cause you to gain weight. The most likely cause of your change in weight is diet or exercise changes.

Also, as we get older our metabolism changes, and so if this is the case, you will have to change your diet to maintain the same body shape and weight.

The simple but often difficult answer for losing weight or avoiding a gain in weight is to decrease the amount of food you eat.

While doing this it is important to maintain a balanced diet with a large proportion of fruits and vegetables.

You will be hungry at first but your body will adjust and use the extra weight you have stored.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
