General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

Your father (86 year old) is losing weight to 168 lbs now; and is on oxygen and loss of appetite.

Further diagnostic tests are recommended to determine the right diagnosis and not only ct-scan of head, but also:
- x-ray of the chest
- a complete cardiac check up (EKG, echocardiogram, ultrasound of blood vessels in the neck)
- complete blood count, electrolytes, liver/kidney function test
- urine analysis

He needs a more specialized medical attention. So, must see a cardiologist, pulmonologist and neurologist as soon as possible.

Wish fast recovery.
