Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am not an overweight person. When gain a few pounds, an easy thing to do, I always try to lose it right away. Losing it is never easy, but I do. In the last month, I have lost 5 pounds without dieting. Ts has never happened. I ve also had a decreased appetite. In the last couple months I ve also experienced above average hair loss. I am also experiencing fatigue and hot flashes with a sour smelling perspiration. I never have hot flashes. I went through menopause 22 years ago and hardly had hot flashes. I am a 65 year old female, have exercised regularly since I was in my 30s. My hour workouts are now down to 30 minutes because of the fatigue I am experiencing. I eat healthy and try to avoid sugar and starch. I get plenty of protein. I also have osteoarthritis.
At this point, I suggest you to test your thyroid hormone levels because you may have hyperthyroidism that is a cause of hot flashes and weight loss. Also do a total blood count because Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma gives hot flashes and weight loss.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka ,
General & Family Physician
