What Causes Excruciating Pain In My Hip?

I have really bad pain in my lower hip on my left hand side and its really Sharp and it hurts so bad when i stand and walk around it hurts if i go to step up into a truck it hurts and the pain just started to happen today and when i sit it hurts and if i move around it hurts i have to be either sitting straight up or laying sorta on my side but Ive never had pain like this before
