What Causes Extreme Fatigue While Treating Sinus Infection?

My husband, age 68, has a sinus infection. He is taking Amoxicillin Musinex DM and Tylenol. It s been just over 2 days, coughing has been reduced, but he is extremely fatigued. We are not at home, and so relying on an urgent care visit. Just waiting for improvement but wonder if this is more than sinus infection.

Any bacterial infection, including a sinus infection, can cause fatigue. If after finishing the amoxicillin ( usually given for 10 days) , you still feel tired, you should have some laboratory tests, including CBC, CMP, and TSH.
