What Causes Extreme Gas, Pain And Gurgling In Stomach After Eating?

Every time I eat something, even if I have only eaten a few bites of something, my stomach starts rolling. It makes all kinds of embarrassing noises and it doesn t matter what I eat. It will do that if I eat a snack, a meal or whatever. I am embarrassed to be around people when I eat and after I eat. My stomach hurts so bad and I am so gassy. I have always been like this even as a child and I am 41 years old now. What can I do to stop this?

Hello,

You seem to be having hyperactive bowel sounds. Causes may be due to hunger, Crohn's disease, gastroenteritis infectious, ulcerative colitis, diarrhea, and food allergies. To those who come to my clinic with similar symptoms, I recommend tab. Rabeprazole before food for at least one month, tab. Domperidone once daily.

Avoid foods that cause bloating of abdomen. Take adequate amount of fiber. Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water daily. Regular physical exercise for 30 min a day for 5 days a week is very helpful. If your symptoms don't go away even after one month of above treatment, please do consult a gastroenterologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Hello,

You are suffering from extreme gas, pain and gurgling in the stomach after eating. You are suggested to avoid taking food that triggers gastritis, acidity, etc. like cauliflower, broccoli, brussels, chewing gums, processed food, carbonated drinks, lentils, certain dairy products, sugar, alcohol, etc.

Avoid constipation. Take laxatives and stool softeners if needed. Take plenty of water for better bowel movement. Do not take oily-junk food, trans fat, refined floor, full fat dairy products, etc. To avoid pain and gas formation you can take PPIs, Pantoprazole-40 mg stat when needed for relieve. Prefer to take home made nutritious food, well cooked and easy to digest. Do not take raw food and cruciferous flowers.

You are suggested to get clinically examined, get blood tests and imaging tests done to detect ulcers or any other medical condition that may be causing you symptoms. Treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
