What Causes Extreme Short And Sharp Pains After Abortion?
hello, i just had an abortion 6 days ago, and am experiencing extreme pains, very short and very sharp. last night i also went to the toilet to find a huge tissue in my underwear. it was a extremely thick jelly like substance about 3cm in diameter, it looked as if it had been torn in half. i was wondering if maybe something went wrong in my abortion and if i should be worried about it. i am in a different state then what i got the abortion done in, so should i goto a gp or just leave it. i just want to know if this is going to be bad for my health and for someone to explain why this occured. thankyou :)
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Short and sharp pains after an abortion can be because of retained products of conception or dueto post abortal iinfection. Passing of a large fleshy mass with pain is more suggestive of retained products of conception, which were expelled with pain. Of the pain is now settled, then there is nothing to be done further. However, if the pain is persistent, then you should consult your treating OBGYN specialist to get properly examined and treated accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful.
