What Causes Extreme Sleepiness After Taking Microgest During Pregnancy?

I m 8 weeks pregnant, & taking microgest 200 mg once a day since 2 weeks, though my doctor advised me to take it twice a day, but in day time after taking the medicine I couldn t do any work because of extreme sleepiness, so I have no other choice, & my USG report is totally fine ..... Am I doing right or wrong, please suggest ... I m also taking medicine gestine once daily, though doctor advised to take it twice, because of extreme sleepiness, is it right or wrong , plz suggest

Hi,

The sleepiness you mentioned will be in actual dizziness.

This is some of the side effects of the medicines you are taking now. One is the natural product from a plant similar to progesterone and the other one is the synthesis progesterone. Both are useful for your delivery to happen with smoothness.

Kindly follow the guidelines given by the gynecologist and don't do any skipping of the medications in between.

If medicine mentioned twice daily then keep exactly a gap of 12 hours and if given once daily then keep the gap of 24 hours without fail, please.
