What Causes Extreme Tiredness And Sickness For A Person Having RLS?
Hello, please don t think that I m crazy for asking you this question, but every evening, usually beginning late afternoon around 4 or 5 o clock, I begin feeling extremely tired and sick. Usually, feelings of despair become greater then. I have taken Pramipexole for about 2 years for RLS and recently switched to the generic of Requip. I feel as if I m losing my mind. Any ideas that can direct me to help? Thank You, Ray B
Since you have a history of RLS & have taken Pramipexole for long, your body is well adjusted with Pramipexole. You are experiencing side effects due to your switch to Requip. Once the body gets adjusted the symptoms should reduce, if not you need to talk to your treating GP about your discomforts so that the medicine can be changed with some other medicine that suits you better. In the meantime, stay well hydrated, take ORS and electrolyte along with water. Take home made nutritious food (rich in vitamins & minerals) & adequate rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
