What Causes Extreme Weight Loss, Abdominal Pain And Foul Odor In Urine?
I am 55 I weigh 250 I have lost 25-30 lbs in short period of time. at 2 am this morning I was in a lot of pain in my stomach the pain last for about 10 mins and I was feeling like I was going to vomit, my urine has for quite a while smells like shit. I am not feeling myself, can you help?
Unexplained weight loss over a short period of time, extreme abdominal pain and nausea are the symptoms you should no ignore and seek medical attention for it. I would suggest you to get ultrasound abdomen done and see a gastroenterologist with the results.
Explain your symptoms and history to him and after doing physical examination and the USG reports he will guide you further on management of the underlying cause. If needed he might ask you to get some other diagnostic tests which might include some blood work and after all the results he will suggest you appropriate treatment option.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
