What Causes Eye Flashes Post A Laser Surgery For Astigmatism?

I see a 45 degree beautiful flair at night when looking at a light after cataract surgery. When I put my finger on the right side if my pupil, the flair goes away. What could cause this. I had laser surgery which also was supposed to fix my astigmatism. But it didn t fix it. Any thoughts or questions? Thanks, Al

Hello,

You need to have a retina examination asap. It could be just an opacity in vitreous or it could be also a hole in your retina.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
