What Causes Eyelid Twitching And The Treatment For It?

Hi, I have had eyelid twitching or palpitations for the last 3 days. It doesn t hurt, but it is very uncomfortable. It happens randomly in the day, but very often. I don t know what it is or what could ve caused it. And I would be very grateful if I could at least know why this is happening and if there is a cure. Thank you ever so much

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having twitching of the eyelids. The twitching of the eyelids is usually because of irritation of the muscles of the eye lids. The common underlying causes are stress, increased intake of caffeine containing drinks...
The treatment is by applying cold compression, use of multivitamins and essential nutrients and avoiding the risk factors like stress, increased use of caffeine containing drinks.
If the twitching of the eyelids is recurrent or associated with facial spasms, numbness then neurological examination is required.
