What Causes Eyes Twitching?

My eye was twitching all day yesterday. I was under a good amount and it was only when I finally sat down to take care of my homework that my eye finally stopped. However, I noticed it after I drank my coffee and began thinking about my day. I really don't want to fight with a twitching eye again today, so should I stay away from the coffee, just in case that was a contributor?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having symptoms of twitching of eyelids.
This is because of irritation of nerves supplying the muscles of eyelids.
The common predisposing factors are stress and increased intake of caffeine containing drinks like coffee.
Hence it is better to avoid coffee and other caffeine containing drinks.
Applying cold compression over eyelids and taking vitamins and essential nutrient supplements will help in this condition.

Thank you
