Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Face, Lips, Tongue, Hands Tingling And Numbness With Heart Palpitations?
I have been having a slight numb/and or tingling sensation in my face, lips, tip of tongue and hands for past 6 months. The sensation will last for only a second, or a rush so to say...but happens several times during a minuet. However, some times the sensation lasts longer. I am 34, excellent health, with the exception of Factor V (one gene copy), and heart palpitations. Any thoughts?
Factor V single gene involvement is have less chances of thrombosis than two gene. Homozygous for factor V Leiden have a high incidence of thrombosis. You may be suffering from anxiety neurosis or hypocalcemia or hypotension or electrolyte imbalance.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Please get it done ECG, serum electrolytes or clotting profile and serum calcium. Then consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
