What Causes Facial Numbness And Twitching In Hands?

My friend has the following symptoms over the past week:
The first time it happened, it was suffocation for about 6 minutes. There was coughing and trouble breathing, and he fainted shortly after. On the back of his neck, there is a lump that is about an inch in diameter, and slightly protruding. Other symptoms include twitching in the hands. Most recently, there was numbness in the facial areas, neck, hands, and legs. While parking his car in the garage tonight, he suddenly was unable to open his eyes and wasn't able to see.

He has seen doctors, whom all were unable to identify the problem. The ambulance was called, but he denied treatment. What should be done?

One doctor diagnosed the lump as a blood clot.
