What Causes Facial Pain, Tooth Ache And Headache After Sinus Surgery?

I had an infected tooth which caused a sinus infection. I had the tooth pulled and sinus surgery. I was treated with doxecycline and flagyl for a clostridium infection. My surgery was 5/18/15. I still having pain in my face and sinus cavities and teeth also hurt. My ENT doesn't see any apparent sign of infection. I am also having headaches. I am a 63 year old female.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms facial pain, pain in sinus cavities and teeth and headache after sinus surgery is nothing serious as if is due to inflammation that occurs after any surgical procedure and it can cause pain.

You need not to worry and continue taking antibiotics, so that if there will be any level of infection left in the sinus it will get resolved.
For pain and inflammation you can start taking anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..

If there is any congestion Saline nasal sprays can be relieving..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
