General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern for your beloved daughter.
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist drug used in the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis.
Your daughter seems to have developed allergic reaction to Montelukast resulting in face swelling, burning sensation in the eyes. Besides, it can also cause liver injury although rare.
She needs to be examined by her treating doctor immediately to treat her condition and to use an alternate but a safer medication to treat her breathing problem like Salbutamol.
Hope this answers your query.
