Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that due to abscess in the tooth it has led to spread of infection and accumulation of pus into the soft tissues leading to swelling and in case if the swelling has progressed around the eyes too, it can be due to facial space infection or Cellulitis..
As the tooth is extracted just today you need not to worry as the swelling will subside gradually as the infection will resolve..
He needs to take a course of higher antibiotics like Augmentin along with higher painkillers like Ibuprofen and also take Serratiopeptidase.
Do cool compresses over the face ..
In case if the swelling does not resolve in 3 to 4 days or the condition worsen, immediately consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can also take an x ray to look for the exact cause of the swelling and treat accordingly..
Oral antibiotics along with oral and injectable steroids can help..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
