What Causes Facial Swelling?

my dad had a serious heart attack in December that impacted 60% of heart function. They did not do surgery as he is diabetic 72 yrs of age with a below knee amputation. I noticed last week that his face looked swollen and his laugh lines were reddish in color. Is this facial swelling?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the symptom of your father I could say that with cardiac condition and swelling of face, this need to be investigated for cardiac failure and renal function, better get done the clinical examination with physician, take care and have a nice day.
