What Causes Facial Yeast Infection While On Ropinirole?

I have been diagnosed with restless leg syndrome. At night I have the feeling of bugs going up my legs. The medicine, ropinerole , has a side effect of over abundant saliva which has caused a chronic yeast infection on my cheek. That is being treated by another doctor. Is there any other remedy for this conditions?

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it may need to be treated with local antifungals like miconazole etc or Nystatin drops orally.

Oral anti fungals may not be needed in tablet forms and local application may be sufficient. If Ropinirole in not tolerable or easing to side effects, duloxetine may be considered for RLS.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
