Sometimes when I am walking or sitting or doing everyday activities my vision will fade to black starting from the edge of my vision and working its way to the center. When this happens I become light headed, numb, and dizzy. I would like to know any possible reasons behind this.
If these symptoms are noticed in both eyes then it could be due to migraine or reduced blood flow to retinal vessels/brain. It is better to get this evaluated by a physician and insist on a thorough cardiovascular check up( including carotid doppler, ECHO /ECG) along with dilated eye exam. You need to get a routine blood tests done ( complete hemogram) to look out for any anemia.
