What Causes Fading Out Mole Behind Ear In Children?
Hi. My 6 year ild daughter had a flat round dark brown mole behind her ear. She always has her hair down so not much sunlight gets to it. Yesterday I have noticed the mole started fading and has a light brown ring around the original mole. It almost looks like a drop of water got onto a dot of water color and faded out...i took a picture but can not upload it. I am terrified it might be skin cancer
I warmly Welcome you to HCM. Thanks for consulting the best team of physicians. I have carefully worked through your case and can well understand your health concerns regarding your daughter.
Yes, you are right. Moles, if they change their shape, color or consistency may be a sign for some serious issue. But not all lesions get precancerous or cancerous.
Skin lesions are difficult to treat without actually seeing them. So it is better to upload a picture in a follow up query, so that I may be able to diagnose properly and help you accordingly. Early diagnosis is the key to best prognosis in skin diseases and cancers-research proves.
