What Causes Faint Spells, Mucousy Stool, Pressure In Head With Tingling Hands?
I have been sick since May 14th of this year. It started with a small headache, a racing heart and a stong faint feeling. I went to the ER and had blood work and a CT scan all was normal. However, I still do not feel normal. My heart continues to race and my body still doesn t feel right. I still have the following at times: faint spells, I m at times light headed, mucus in my stool, pressure in my head, and tingling in my hands at times...mostly in the right hand. I am taking Celexa and Lorazepam currently. Can someone please help??
Hello and welcome to HCM, Fainting spells and lightheadededness could be due to reduced blood supply to head. Reduced blood supply could be due to constriction of blood vessels, accumulation of atheromatous plaque, or vaso-vagal syncope. I would suggest you to your physician for clinical assessment. Mucus in stools can be seen in increased mucus discharge due to a polyp or growth. Inflammatory bowel diseases can also cause increased mucus production. Tingling in hands can be due to nerve related disorder. You can take vitamin B 12 and folic acid supplements.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
