What Causes Fainting Attacks In Child?

my 3 year old child fainted today. she was outside in the hot sun and was eating an ice popsicle. she suddenly cried out. walked 2 feet to where her mother was and fainted. i picked her up straight away and she awoke. when asked she said she had a pain around the nasel area but does not remember fainting.
