What Causes Fainting While Suffering From Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?

Help my husband is 56 years old and has high blood pressure. He just passed out walking into the kitchen and had a small seizure on the floor. This was right after taking his blood pressure medication with it also has a water pill in with it. Should he see his doctor ?he s passed out a few times this year.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As far as my clinical experience is concerned, your hubby is having transient alterations in blood pressure levels giving such episodes through cerebral circulatory changes.

Though he is becoming normal after taking anti hypertensive medicine, I strongly recommend to consult him with his physician for further evaluation and management guidelines to prevent such on and off episodes.

Do give me further chance to assist in future.

Thank you.
