What Causes False Positive Test Results For Cocaine?
my question is reguarding the life span of crack cocaine on dentures. my spouse has a gum disease and it causes buildup that s very hard to clean generally and he also periodically uses crack. he tests almost daily. but after I soaked repeatedly and scraped at them one evening the next day he tests positive. knowing 100% the previous day he didn t use how did the tests show positive. it was a very small number
A lot of causes of false positive many of which we don't know. BUT the test stays positive for at least 3 days after use and up to a week even with a small use. Note that the difference between a small use and a fatal one is maybe 20x. The difference between the peak amount and the minimal amount the test can detect is > 100x and there's variations in urine concentration, size of the person, etc. So, there isn't a compelling reason to even consider if there are 'false' positives when the person is using cocaine.
