What Causes Fast Heart Beats After Taking Medication For Insomnia?
I just started taking 15 mg for insomnia, not depression and I am having very fast heart beats and am on vacation and will not be returning home for another 6 days. Since I just went up to the 15 mg. from 71/2 mg can I go back to 71/2 now safely till I get back home?
Welcome to HCM. Thanks for consulting here at my virtual clinic.
Actually, you have not provided the name of drug that you took for 15mg dosage. So if I take it as a generalized drug that may be antidepressant or any drug that depresses that alertness, your increased heart beats are due to the side effects of the drug. If it has been more than 24 hours after taking that 15mg drug, yes-you may go back to your 71/2 drug (again you have not given any name of drug).
Hope it helps. Feel free to consult back anytime if further assistance is needed.
Regards! DR.HANIF USA
